Solved! – HTTP Remote File Permanently Removed in TestNG

Not able to download TestNG plugin from Eclipse Market Place? You can also install it manually through Install New Software.

Wrong-way to install

1. Go to the Help menu in Eclipse, select Install New Software

2. Add http://beust.com/eclipse/ (DO NOT USE) in the Work with field and click on Add

Eclipse will give you an error in this case as the URL is now old and outdated.

Correct way to install

1. Go to the Help menu and select Install New Software
2. Click on Add, enter the name as TestNG and Location as mentioned below https://dl.bintray.com/testng-team/testng-eclipse-release/

3. Click on the Add button to add the repository. You should see TestNG libraries now, select TestNG and click Next

4. Accept the License agreements and proceed to finish and TestNG should start installing. It will ask for a restart once it is installed. After the restart, you should be ready to go.
